Say Goodnight and Go.

0530 Reveille
2230 Lights Out

Bet it sounds like fun to those insomniacs out there. They're training us like crazy over at my new place. We're practically becoming robots day by day with the controlled lifestyle, not that I'm complaining. I'm already having fun with my platoon mates. A platoon is a group of soldiers comprising of 30 to 50 men but in my school, our platoon is made up of 200 men strong.

In a platoon, there's smaller groups called section. The people from the section that I'm in are great folks to be with. We better make sure it stays like that after this when more stressful situations come in. It's not easy. There are several from uniformed groups during their secondary school days so most of them can go on with the army life with ease and in fact even those not from uniformed groups can adapt well too. There's this guy with the typical mat looks and way of talking but outstanding cognitive ability. Usually it will be the guys from the uniformed groups who would lead songs for marches but this guy so bravely came in and made marching songs out of his own lyrics after we started singing a few songs while marching.

Singing lifts our spirits up while marching. Especially during the rainy days. The trainings are demanding and our immunity drops real low from shagness after trainings. One of the many reasons why many of us are sick. Another reason being guys who have unhygienic practices of wearing the same set of clothes and not washing them or air them up after sweating it out for trainings. They fall very sick and it spreads to the whole bunk and eventually everyone. How considerate.

Shoutouts to Rachel and the people who emailed me =) It's so vintage but it's cool. This was one of the songs that were sung while we were marching. Stalker-like but damn touching.
